|Seamount College has a strong tradition of encouraging extra curricular participation for all students.Extra curricular activities includeParticipation in “An Gaisce “, the President’s award. The transition and fifth year students involved do voluntary community work, learn a personal skill, learn a physical recreational activity and organise a two-day adventure activity.
Transition and second year students perform a full-length musical show each year.
Students are offered the chance to participate in speech and drama, music and choir practice, public speaking, debating in both irish and english, art and cookery competitions.
Students participate in Scifest , the Young Scientist Competition and mathematics competitions.
Seamount has a deserved reputation for sporting achievement at the highest level. Sports in Seamount include camogie, hockey, basketball, volleyball, tennis, rounders, Gaelic football, hurling, tag rugby ,cross country and track and field.
Pilates is available for students after school.
During active schools week students are involved in sailing , canoeing, caving and hill walking.
