We are delighted to announce that Phase 1 of the building project at Seamount College is due to begin.
We have received the green light from the Department of Education and Skills to commence construction and we are looking forward to seeing progress in the coming months.
We are also pleased to share images of our follow on Phase 2 designs which are being submitted for planning shortly having also received department approval.
Designed by Cronin Architects, the combination of the 2 Phases will provide much needed accommodation to the school and will involve the complete removal over time of all existing prefabs.
The design provides additional accommodation to Phase 1 including further mainstream classrooms, specialist classrooms and associated support accommodation as well as completing our sheltered external courtyard. This will provide quality external space for students and become a new focal point of our school.
The overall works are required to be phased to allow decanting over time from prefab classrooms and where the intention is that construction will run concurrently.
We look forward to this next step in our school’s development!
